Started as a senior police officer, being in charge of the actual police work in a town in the south of the Netherlands. Innovated and redesigned several police processes, bought an ultra light aircraft to be used for air surveillance and introduced further differentiation within the police work.

Served as a senior government official with the Minister of the Interior during the formation of 25 regional police forces (coming from 148 local police). Now working as an independent consultant/manager amongs others responsible for:

  • the making and implementing of a national data warehouse for strategic management  information within the Dutch police (GIDS 1997 – 2000);
  • the development and implementing of capacity management as a way of work (CM 2001 – 2003);
  • introducing IT-supported identity management (ABS 2004 – 2006) within the Dutch police
  • Redesigning and reengineering the HRM processes within eight regional police forces to one standardized workflow (IM-NON 2006 – 2007)

Spending every spare moment in the Dordogne (building and cooking) and still have some time for my favourite sport: baseball.
